Born in the Dominican Republic, Dr. Polanco received his medical degree from Pontifica Universidad Catolica Madre Y Maestra in Santiago, Dominican Republic. He then came to the United States in 1990 where he completed his internship, and residency in  Jersey City Medical Center in Jersey City, New Jersey.  He moved to Florida in 1998 and began practicing first in Bradenton, Florida.

Dr. Polanco is a licensed and board certified Internist who see patients from the age of 18 years and over. He has won several awards through out his years of practicing medicine.  He was honored for the Global Directory of Who's Who Honors for "Top Health Professional" in 2009-2010 and became a V.I.P Member. This was for in recognition of hard work, dedication and contributions to the medical professional. Dr. Polanco has been awarded for the "Top Gulf Coast Best Physicians" chosen by their peers in 2009. As well as, he has been a member of the American College of Physician for over 15 years.
